Developing Innovative Clean Technology Solutions for Life
Clean water to drink, clean air to breathe, and clean soil for growing food are
three of the most essential requisites for sustaining human life. BluFlowTM
Technologies Inc. is a development stage clean technology company, actively developing
novel BluFlowTM technologies for the remediation of polluted water, soil,
and air in an environmentally friendly and cost effective manner.
BluFlowTM Water Purification
There is no question that water will be the resource that defines the 21st century
for it is vital to life and business and unlike oil , there is no substitute for
water. While most of our planet is covered with water, less than 0.07% of that water
is freshwater that is accessible for human consumption. Over the past century, the
world’s population has tripled, while the world’s freshwater usage has increase
six fold. And as such freshwater is often wasted or misused, resulting in expensive
treatment solutions or even more costly shortages. Freshwater is being consumed
faster than it can be naturally replenished. Understanding how we can better manage
water resources is an area where new water purification, reuse and treatment technologies
can play an exciting role. Unlike the information technology, telecommunication
and energy sectors, the water resource sector has not yet benefited from the latest
advances in technology. But that is beginning to change.
Our patent pending BluFlowTM Water technologies remediate polluted water
utilize magnetically charged nanoparticles to remove organic pollutants such as
oil and grease, pesticides, PAHs and PCBS, water-borne viruses and harmful metal-ions
such as lead, mercury, cadmium, and arsenic from contaminated water.
BluFlowTM Soil Remediation
Soil is the foundation of the world’s ecosystems. As industry increases, soil contamination
increases too. Healthy soil is the foundation of thriving ecosystems; it supplies
food, recycles nutrients, supports growth, and nurtures sprouts. But soil can’t
do anything unless it is clean, pure, and toxin free. Soil is contaminated by many
chemicals and pathogens, which are passed on to humans through direct contact or
via food and water.
Our patent pending BluFlowTM technologies were initially designed by
our scientists to remove pollutants from soil and sediments. Therefore, our BluFlowTM
technologies have the same applications for the treatment of contaminated soil as
they do to contaminated water.
BluFlowTM Air Purification
The air we breathe is crucial for human life. It is a fact that the average person
breathes approximately 35 pounds of air every day. Without air, the average human
being would only survive three minutes. The Environmental Protection Agency estimates
that the United states alone emits 160 million tons of pollution into the air each
year. Currently, more than 130 million U.S. residents live in counties that violate
federal air quality standards. Globally, 1.1 billion people breathe unhealthy air
with immeasurable impact on health and the environment. The biggest causes of air
pollution are the operation of fossil fuel burning power plants and automobiles
that combust fuel. In the United States coal-fired power plants are the largest
source of airborne pollutants such as mercury, acid gas, and other toxic metal emissions.
In March 2011, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) proposed rules that that
would require coal-fired power plants to install advanced pollution control technologies
by 2016 that would limit such toxic emissions.
Our scientists and engineers believe that our patent pending BluFlowTM
technologies can be through further optimization adapted to remove organic and metallic
contaminants from air, particularly from high concentration emission sources.
BluFlowTM Technologies, Inc. is a development stage clean technology
company, that is focused on the research, development and eventual commercialization
of emerging next-generation clean technologies for the remediation of polluted water,
soil, and air in an environmentally friendly and cost effective manner. Thank you
